Each player must register.

Include Sigma Snap Quest when you complete your biennial convention registration. You may also register at convention at the Sigma Theta Tau International Foundation for Nursing booth. Players who register on-site will not receive the advance registration discount rate.

Form your team. (four players maximum per team)

Team up with fellow chapter members, longtime friends, or work colleagues. Don’t have a team? No problem! We’ll place you on a team with others from your region.

If you have already formed a team, please include your teammates’ names on your online registration or contact Foundation staff member Becky Frey at rebecca@stti.org. If you do not have a team, you will be contacted closer to game day to be connected with other players.

Raise money for research.

You and your teammates can get a jump start before you even arrive! Starting 7 August 2015, your team can earn up to 500 points total by securing donations to fund research grants. Invite your friends, family, and colleagues to help your team by making a donation to the Foundation. To earn points, donations must be turned in at the Foundation booth when you check in to start the game.

Check in when you arrive at convention.

Visit the Foundation booth to receive your instructions on how to play the game. Foundation staff will be available to help you download the app, sign up your team, and answer any questions you have. At least one team member must have an Apple or android device with Internet access or a data plan.

Not arriving until Sunday? No problem. Although some missions must be carried out on a specific day, most can be completed any day.

Complete missions.

Photo evidence must be uploaded to the game app to complete a mission and receive points. Each mission will have a different point value based on the degree of difficulty.

Two ways to win with your team.

• The team that raises the most money in support of nursing research wins. Amount includes but is not limited to contributions raised as part of the “Raise money for research” mission.
• The team that earns the most game points by noon on Monday, 9 November wins. In the event of a tie, Foundation board members will review the photo submissions and select a winner. So make sure your photo evidence is top notch!

Enjoy the prize.

The winners will be President Hester C. Klopper’s special guests at a formal private reception for the Founders Awards recipients on the evening of Monday, 9 November 2015. The winners will have the opportunity to have their photo taken during the reception. The reception immediately precedes the Founders Awards Celebration Dinner. Awards dinner tickets are not included in the prize; however, they may be purchased separately.
